Jordi Savall's Las Músicas del Quijote: Video Program Notes
Watch and listen as Kate van Orden, Associate Professor, UCB Department of Music, sets the context for Jordi Savall's Las Músicas del Quijote (The Music of Quixote) to be performed on Thursday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church. Professor van Orden discusses the many musical references in Miguel de Cervantes' celebrated novel, Don Quixote, that Savall used when creating this highly anticipated concert. (Length: 5:00)

Please note that there will be a Key Notes lecture entitled "Quixotic Music" with Professor van Orden on Thursday, March 9 preceding the concert at 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the large assembly room, at the First Congregational Church.

Takács Quartet: Video Program Notes
