Cal Performances supports the educational mission of the University of California, Berkeley campus by providing opportunities to connect with artists and by sharing our cultural resources with the broader community. Building on shared interests, Cal Performances works closely with academic departments and Bay Area arts organizations to create distinctive education and humanities programs inspired by the performing arts programs we present.
Sightlines Pre-and Post Performance Talks
Acclaimed artists and scholars provide programmatic insights in pre- and post-performance talks, which take place in the performance venue (unless otherwise noted) and are free to event ticket holders. [learn more]
Key Notes Series: Jazz and World Music
With a focus on Cal Performances' Jazz and World Music programs, Jesse "Chuy" Varela hosts the 2009/10 Key Notes lecture series on the Zellerbach Hall lobby mezzanine. Key Notes talks are free and open to the public; tickets must be purchased for the associated concerts. [learn more]
